T.I.M. Sangam NZ

The Then India Maathar (T.I.M.) Sangam is the women’s organisation of the Sangam.

It is a very active part of Sangam, and is one of the strongest arms of the organisation.

Activities include holding regular meetings, taking part in cultural and

sporting activities, hosting social evenings, organising fundraising functions,

holding cooking classes,  organising and running netball and volleyball tournaments, and supporting the T.I.S.I. Sangam in it’s activities.

Netball is the dominant and most popular sport amongst young Sangam

women.  There are over 6 Sangam Netball Teams in New Zealand.

Netball teams travel to Fiji every year during Easter to take part in the Annual Fiji Sangam Convention, and also participate in the Sangam World Cup.
